Vacurema Extruder

Pregis invested £5m in extrusion and installed a Vacurema extruder. This system is the most widely used technology world wide in recycling post consumer pet flake. It can accept bottle flake, virgin pellets, edge trim and granulated waste which has not been fully cleaned to produce food grade approved material. Pre-processing is carried out at a very high temperature before the residual moisture is removed thus eliminating fluctuations in IV levels and resulting in more consistent material being produced.
